My only gripe with spring is that it doesn’t last long enough. As a season, it offers so much potential for nature photography, especially on my doorstep. I spend most of my time during spring in my local woodland, watching closely as the landscape blooms, waiting for the right conditions to immortalise the moment.
Spring on My Doorstep in North West England
My spring gallery captures moments across the English countryside, from my home turf in Rainford to surrounding areas across Merseyside and further into the Lake District. Every image was taken respectfully, reflecting the anticipation and atmosphere that make spring an absolute pleasure to photograph.

The thing I love most about spring is that no matter how harsh the winter was before it, nature always finds a way to bounce back. Every year, I return to my local woodland without fail, in the hope that one day, I can finally do it justice.
