Revealing the Beauty of Nature Through the Seasons
The foundations for Wild Rainford were set on a personal goal to strengthen our relationship with nature. Our quaint countryside village is home to some of the most beautiful wildlife, wildflowers, and landscapes, which, sadly, often go unnoticed.
Wild Rainford became a year-long project, spanning all four seasons, dedicated to capturing the resilience and beauty of our local natural world. More than a thousand hours spent out in the field, in all weathers, watching and photographing intimate moments in nature, right on our doorstep.

Every day, right on our doorsteps, wildlife does what it does best: it adapts and survives through incredible feats of resilience. Wild Rainford lifts the curtain, offering you a closer look at nature’s response to the changing seasons.
Breathtaking Landscapes
Rainford’s landscapes are diverse, from rugged ancient woodlands to rolling fields and farmland. Each landscape is beautifully defined by the changing seasons. They’re the backdrop of our daily lives, and the heart of this project.

When you spend so long watching and photographing nature, you begin to connect with it. You learn to appreciate every moment, big or small. Wild Rainford captures the side of nature you rarely see. The intimate moments that melt your heart.
Why Wild Rainford Matters
Wild Rainford was created with one goal in mind: to help strengthen our connection with the nature that surrounds us. Biodiversity across the UK is suffering devastating declines year after year, making our everyday landscapes and wildlife feel more precious than ever.
If we lose that connection with nature, we risk losing the species and habitats that define our beautiful countryside. Wild Rainford brings nature closer, offering a reminder of the beauty that lies on our doorstep and why it’s worth protecting.

Every feature within Wild Rainford was photographed ethically using nothing but fieldcraft and patience. No baiting and no playback, just moments in nature captured as they should be, completely wild and uninterrupted.
