Seasonal Nature Photography Galleries

My work is influenced by seasonality and captures truly wild moments on my doorstep. I spend most of my time outdoors, whatever the weather, watching how wildlife and landscapes respond to the changing conditions. It’s the thrill of the unknown that motivates me; nature is highly unpredictable, and no matter how much effort I put in, nothing is ever guaranteed.

Spring Nature Photography

Spring is the season I look forward to most. Here in the North West, spring seems to creep in slowly at first, though this is probably down to anticipation. Weeks can pass by with very little change, but then seemingly overnight, the landscape explodes into full bloom. This gallery captures nature’s transformation, right on my doorstep.

Summer Nature Photography

I’ll be honest, I was never the greatest fan of nature photography through the summer months…until recently. The heat and the humidity drain me, and I’m a walking snack for midges and horseflies. Pushing through that discomfort has genuinely been worth it. My summer gallery features local moments in nature I’m privileged to have witnessed.

Autumn Nature Photography

Autumn is the most anticipated season of the year for nature photography, and like spring, I spend most of my time outdoors watching my local landscapes transform. Crisp, misty mornings are my absolute favourite conditions to capture, and you’ll find plenty of examples throughout my autumn gallery.

Winter Nature Photography

Winter is a test of endurance. I often find that my best work during the winter months comes at the expense of numb extremities and soaking wet clothes, a worthwhile trade in my opinion. Watching how nature on my doorstep responds to the challenges of winter is inspirational. Every day is a new battle, a fight for survival, and that’s what I try to express through my work.

Each year, I do my very best to capture unique moments in the English countryside. This gallery pulls together some of my most memorable encounters to date, but I’m not done yet.
